Water – A Valuable Natural resource

Water one of the most important natural resources that life gives us.  Water accounts for about 70% of the body’s mass and is an important constituent of metabolism, a solvent for many of the body’s solutes. People need to drink 2.0 liters per day (about 8 glasses of water) for good health and should pay attention to drinking water hygienically, especially drink boiled water to cool.

The benefits of water are hardly denied. It plays a very important role in keeping us healthy and be capable of working and release energy.

Moreover, water is also one of the most precious natural resources on our planet earth. It covers the ¾ surface of the earth, 97.5% of the earth water is salty and only 2.5 % is fresh water. But 2/3 fresh water is locked in polar ice caps and glaciers, that means only 0.5% in our lakes and rivers, is actually used for agriculture, industry and daily activities of human life.

But because of the pollution, the quality of fresh water is under thread.

Over the last 100 years, global population is growing fast day by day, but our water supplies still remain unchanged.  The word is lacking fresh water seriously. More people are now using a lot more of the same limited amount of water.

You might have heard that we are running out of fresh water, this might strange to you because if you live in a place where water flows from the showers at any time then it sure doesn’t seem a big deal, right? But you are wrong. The only obvious thing about fresh water is how much we need it. Because it is essential to life, we have to think about it carefully. Right now at this very moment, some people walk ours and miles a day to get fresh water and even then, it may not be clean. Therefore we realize that how much fresh water matters for the existence of human and non-human life on earth now and the future.

The water in our body works to cushion and lubricant joints and regulate temperature. Water is only in our blood but also in our heart and brain. Each day we need at least 1 liter of water for the body to works promptly. Maintaining a balance water level is essential to avoid dehydration over hydration, both of which can affect on the overall heath. So you might see the importance of fresh water is. That is why we have to drink fresh water to keep our body healthy. But nowadays fresh water is running out by the pollution or industrial activities of the human. So in some developed countries are now creating some special equipment to filter dirty water into fresh water. With the best reverse osmosis system, water is removed ions, molecules, so that we can have fresh water to drink.  With this high technology, we can now enjoy fresh water day by day.
